Face Sculpting Workshop - 1 Day - Cass Art Glasgow

This unique day-long workshop will take you through the process of creating your very own scaled head and face sculpt.

Suitable for almost any skill level, with all materials and equipment supplied, this hands-on workshop will be a brief insight of how to sculpt a human head and face.   Working with WED clay, a water-based industry standard for this type of sculpting, you will be guided through the various stages of sculpture, working from visual and anatomy references as well as the life model. Throughout the day, you'll be under the instructions from Edward Howat from Moth Metropolis and Thom Wall from Sorenzo Studios. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned sculptor, this workshop has a lot to offer for everybody.

Students will work their way through the various stages including:

- Basic Armature

- Form Bulking

- Anatomy / Muscle Structure

- Refining & Detailing Techniques

-Texturing / Smoothing

All theories, techniques and principles that will be discussed and demonstrated throughout the weekend and will be transferable to a range of other material.
